Endocannabinoid System in the Human Body

Did you know the human body naturally produces cannabinoids?  These cannabinoids are known as the Endocannabinoid System, and they support many functions such as your emotions, how well you sleep, and ease of movement.  This Endocannabinoid System is important because it plays a big part in keeping you healthy and balanced, otherwise known as homeostasis:  “…the tendency of a system, especially the physiological system of higher animals, to maintain internal stability, owing to the coordinated response of its parts to any situation or stimulus that would tend to disturb its normal condition or function.”  https://www.dictionary.com/browse/homeostasis

Our Endocannabinoid System has two types of receptors:  CB1 located in the brain and nervous system, and CB2 located in the immune system.  Different types of cannabinoids in CBD oil bind with these receptors which will then have particular effects such as pain relief, easing of anxiety, reduction of inflammation and enhancing sleep.
